Central Island National Park

Central Island is located within Lake Turkana and covers an area of about 5 sq km. Crocodile Lake, Flamingo Lake and Tilapia Lake are the three crater lakes found on the island.

HOW TO GET THERE

By Road
Travel a distance of 800 km from Nairobi to Lake Turkana then take a boat from Sibiloi National Park or from Lodwar. Use the main Nairobi-Moyale road or the road from Maralal to Loiengalani through Baragoi and South Horr

By Air
Use any of the two available airstrips at Sibiloi National Park

Weather Conditions
The area is hot and dry.
