Kora National Park

Extending well over 1700 sq km, Kora National park was first gazetted as a reserve in 1973 then as a park in 1990. It is characterized by dense woodland, scrub vegetation, basement ridges and a number of seasonal rivers. The park is bordered by Mwitamisyi River to the east and Tana River to the west.

HOW TO GET THERE

By Road
Use the road from Thika to Mwingi then through Kyuso Village in the NE or access from Meru National Park via the bridge at Tana River

Use the airstrip located on the eastern side (the only other airstrip is used by the administration of the park)
